About Us

Good Natured Hedgehogs  by Oksana Eden, we are USDA licensed since 2012. We are a small hedgehog breeder located in Caldwell, Idaho. All our hedgehogs that we keep for breeding are healthy, strong and good behaving. 

Naturally shy hedgehogs can usually be won over but, some hedgehogs may always seem "grouchy". Our goal is to produce natural high tolerance in hedgehogs to human handling. Our "keepers are evaluated for best qualities by adults and our kids help too.  We try always pick our "breeders" for interesting playful personalities and social behavior. We also introduce our baby hedgehogs to different toys, smells and to some different noises. It really helps them to get a good start on socialization.

    Here at "Good Natured Hedgehogs", we focus on health and carefully screen "Breeding Quality" hedgehogs with excellent pedigrees, clean lines and good temperament. If we sell a hedgehog that is a "Pet Quality" we will inform buyers that they shouldn't breed that particular hedgehog. "Pet Quality" hedgehogs will not be cheaper and will not be any less healthy than other hedgehogs we have.
